Areas of Practice

While the firm has been involved in the general practice of law for a small, rural community, including practice in local government, domestic relations, contract law, criminal and traffic, and other legal matters, primary emphasis has been on estate planning and administration, real estate, and agricultural law.

Real estate sales have included both residential and commercial, and farm land sales by competitive bidding.  Estate administration has included contested estates, special valuation of farm land under Section 2032A of the Internal Revenue Code, and preparation of fiduciary income tax returns and Federal and Illinois Estate Tax Returns, including elections to pay estate tax in installments.

Legal venues include Tazewell, Mason, Logan, Peoria, and McLean Counties, among others.
